The service members were aboard a KC-135 refueling aircraft Thursday afternoon when a mid-air incident with a second aircraft occurred.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation but officials said it was not a result of hostile or friendly fire.
All six crew members aboard the refueling aircraft were confirmed dead. The other aircraft involved landed safely. The crash is being investigated.
