St. James High School Student Washing Hands During Stabbing

The victim said he did not know the suspect or have any past interactions with him.

Additional details have been released in regards to the stabbing that occurred on the St. James High School campus.

Last Wednesday, a 16-year-old student was stabbed by a 15-year-old student. Incident reports list that the victim said he was in the bathroom washing his hands when the suspect walked in and looked around before stabbing him in the back with a knife. The victim then ran back to his classroom to tell his teacher.

The victim said he did not know the suspect or have any past interactions with him, including in the bathroom before the stabbing. The weapon was a kitchen-style knife and the victim was stabbed on the right side below his shoulder blade, which caused a “severe laceration.”

The suspect was located running across the football field with the weapon in his hand. He was arrested and charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. A hearing for the suspect will be held sometime next week. The identities of those involved have still not been released.
