Two Men Arrested In Connection To Kidnapping And Assault

The victim had to receive medical treatment for the injuries he sustained.

Two men have been charged in connection to an alleged kidnapping and assault.

36-year-old Johnny Love Jr. and 50-year-old Robert Causby Jr. are accused of luring the victim to a location along N. Jones Road in Olanta.

The two men then allegedly assaulted the victim and forced him to sign over possession of a Ford F-350 pick-up truck while threatening to kill the victim if he did not comply. The victim had to receive medical treatment for the injuries he sustained.

Both suspects have been charged with kidnapping, first-degree assault and battery, blackmail, extortion, grand larceny, and criminal conspiracy. They are being held at the Florence County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
