Two People Killed, 14 Others Injured In Texas Shooting

A mass shooting in Austin, Texas, is being investigated as a potential act of terrorism.

The shooting happened outside Buford’s Backyard Beer Garden shortly before 2am Sunday. The nightlife destination is just a few miles from the University of Texas at Austin.

The gunman was identified as 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne. He was wearing clothes with an Iranian flag design and the words “Property of Allah.” He killed two people and wounded 14 others. Police shot and killed Diagne, who used a pistol and a rifle to carry out the attack.

Authorities have not provided a clear motive for the attack but found “indicators” on the gunman and his vehicle leading them to look into the possibility of terrorism. Further details are limited.
