Jordan, Willard Foster

Mr. Jordan was born in Darlington County, South Carolina; he was the son of the late William Foster and Addie Odom Jordan. Willard graduated from Darlington High School in 1958 and retired after 41 years from Sonoco Products Company. He was a member of the Sonoco Old-Timers Club and Welsh Neck Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Margie Smith Jordan of Society Hill; his sons, Chris (Regina) Jordan of Hartsville and Robert (Teresa) Hancock of Society Hill; his daughters, Tina (Rodney) Hurst of Cheraw and Judy (Patrick) Watford of Florence; his son in law, Arnold Hammonds of Cheraw; his grandchildren, Johnathon Hammonds, Regina (Kris) Byrd, Justin Hurst, Heather Jordan, Amber Hancock, Luke Hammonds, Logan Hurst and Rocket Watford; his brothers, Basil (Peggy) Jordan of Darlington, Wayne (Jeanette) Jordan of Florence and Larry (Marie) Jordan of Florence; his sisters, Doris (Robert) Goodson of Darlington and Geraldine (James) Moody of Darlington. Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Joni Hammonds; and his sister, LaRae Britt. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Welsh Neck Baptist Church and other times at the residence, 161 Cheraw Hwy., Society Hill. Funeral services for Mr. Willard Foster Jordan, 71, of Society Hill who passed away on Tuesday, February 08, 2011 will be held at 3 PM Thursday, February 10, 2011 in Welsh Neck Baptist Church.
