Davis, Jo Ann

Mrs. Davis was born in Alleghany County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late A.V. and Mae Thompson Millsaps. Jo Ann was a member of the Society Hill Presbyterian Church, where she taught children’s Sunday School and was part of the Presbyterian Women. She loved her cats and enjoyed Crocheting. Jo Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be missed dearly by all. Surviving are her husband, Paul Davis of Society Hill; her daughter, Teresa Davis (Robert) Hancock of Society Hill; her granddaughters, Regina Hancock (Kris) Byrd and Amber Hancock both of Society Hill; and several nieces, nephews, in laws and cousins. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her sisters, Billie (Billy) Jeffords and Lois (Gordon) Weatherly. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 118 Wilson Street, Society Hill. Funeral services for Mrs. Jo Ann Millsaps Davis, 78, of Society Hill who passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011 will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 2 PM in the Society Hill Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Swift Creek Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Kistler Hardee Funeral Home.
