United Way of Horry County Highlights Community Impact, Upcoming Events and Resources

Allison Gullidge and Utocqua Grisset with the United Way of Horry County were in the studio for United Way in Action, which is all about sharing the great work UWHC is doing in the community.

Ready, Set Kindergarten is a free pilot event sponsored by HTC for preschool children who will enter kindergarten at Conway Elementary School. It’s a one hour exerience that will provide families with resources, a book, and tools to help their child feel confident and excited about the first day of school.

If you’re new to the area or just wnt to get more involved, Newcomers United aims to help people connect with the community, meet like-minded people, and give back in meaningful ways.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) provides free income tax preparation assistance to individuals and families with a household income of $67,000 a year or less.
