Teenager Charged In Connection To Fatal Shooting

18-year-old Kaiden Demery is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center without bond.

A teenager is facing charges in connection to a fatal shooting.

On Friday, deputies responded to the 1500 block of Canal Road in the Pembroke area of Robeson County on reports of an individual shot. Upon arrival, 17-year-old Rylan Strickland was found deceased at the scene.

A search warrant was conducted at a residence along Canal Road which resulted in the arrest of 18-year-old Kaiden Demery. He is charged with first degree murder and is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center without bond.

An investigation remains underway and anyone with information is asked to contact Robeson County authorities.
