The victim of a shooting in Dillon County has been identified.
The incident took place around 8am on Monday at the 24 Hour Spot on Highway 301 in Dillon.
An altercation broke out prompting shots fired which led to the death of 52-year-old Burnie Townsend. He was reportedly well-known in the community and visited the store every morning, helping out in anyway he could.
Police said they have identified a person of interest but have not released any names at this time.
