Skipper, Sheila Joyce

Sheila Joyce Griffin Skipper, age 61, of Lumberton, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. She was born in Marion County, SC on January 10, 1950 to the late Lonnie H. Griffin, Sr. and Joyce Baxley Parrott. Mrs. Skipper is survived by her mother, Joyce Baxley Parrott of Marion, SC; a daughter, Charlotte Britt and husband, Samuel of Bladenboro; two brothers, Francis L. Griffin of Mullins, SC and Ernest T. Griffin of Charlotte; two sisters, Marcia Johnson and husband, Ralph of Nichol, SC and Susanne Parrott Riggins and husband, Jerry of Laurinburg; her fiancée, Thomas M. Rogers of the home and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Lonnie H. Griffin, Jr. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 2:00PM at Godwin Heights Baptist Church with Rev. David Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton and other times at the home at 3409 Meadow Road, Lumberton
