A Secret Service agent spotted Routh before Trump came into view and the situation was brought under control.

The man accused of attempting to assassinate Donald Trump has been found guilty on all counts.

59-year-old Ryan Routh aimed a rifle at Trump while he was on a golf course at his West Palm Beach Country Club last September. A Secret Service agent spotted Routh before Trump came into view and the situation was brought under control.

Routh was charged with attempting to assassinate a major presidential candidate, possessing a firearm in furtherance of a violent crime, assaulting a federal officer, possessing a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon, and possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

In his closing argument, Routh told jurors he didn’t intend to kill anyone that day. Still, the jury found him guilty of all charges. He will be sentenced on December 18 and faces possible life in prison.
