The district has invested around a million dollars to introduce a special type of technology for emergencies.
Soon, all staff and teachers will be assigned a wearable panic button. They will be able to send a simple click, or a few clicks in the event of an emergency. The new tech will be able to then track their location.
With a few more clicks, it can lock down an entire school, connect to 911 and utilize flashing strobes if needed.
The system is expected to be completely installed by January, but staff and teachers will need to undergo training first.
