Johnson, Lonnie Mitchell
Mr. Lonnie Mitchell Johnson, 43, of Darlington passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the home. Mr. Johnson was born on January 28, 1967 in Darlington, the son of the late Lonnie Alexander Johnson and Ruby Mae Small Caulder. He was a car detailer. He was a loving husband and father and just a great man to all who knew him. Surviving are his stepmother, Georgia Ann Conyers Wilkes and stepfather, Edwin Owen Wilkes both of Lamar; wife Lula Parker ‘Tiny’ Johnson of the home; his children, Spc. Emanuel Harper, Amanda Johnson and ‘Little’ Mitchell Johnson all of Darlington; granddaughter, Ally Harper of Darlington; his sisters, Shelby Jean (Donald) Howle of Darlington, Kathy Johnson (Billy Ray) Parnell of Lamar, Stacey Lynn Jones of Florence; his stepsisters, Wendy Gale Patrick and Gina Wilkes Duke both of Lamar; his brothers, Ralph Michael Small of Hartsville, Robert ‘Robbie’ Lee (Katie) Windham, Jr. of Lamar; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both his parents and his sister, Judy Ann Holder whose cremated remains will be buried with him. The family wants to say a special thank you to McLeod Hospice and as well as the many other friends who have helped make this time more bearable. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM in the Chapel of Kistler Hardee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 PM Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Kistler Hardee Funeral Home and other times at the residence of his sister, Kathy Parnell, 121 Dudley Drive, Lamar.
