MLB legend Ryne Sandberg has died at the age of 65.

The 2005 Hall of Famer played 13-games with the Phillies in 1981 before spending the next 15 seasons with the Cubs before he retired.

He made 10 straight All-Star appearances starting in 1984, the year he won National League MVP Honors while leading the league in triples and runs scored.

Sandberg won seven Silver Slugger awards and nine Gold Gloves during his career. He also led the NL with 40 home runs in 1990, the same year he won the Home Run Derby at Wrigley Field.

After his playing career ended, he coached with both the Cubs and Phillies’ organizations before becoming a manager.
