FAYETTEVILLE: Mr. David Carvin Yarborough, 61, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 11th, 2011 in his home after a long illness. Mr. Yarborough was born in Florence on November 2nd, 1949. He was a son of the late Otis Carvin Yarborough and the late Evelyn Mae Poston. Mr. Yarborough worked for thirty-five years as a tree surgeon in the timber industry. He loved being outdoors and working with his hands. Mr. Yarborough was a good-natured, kind-hearted man who never met a stranger. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Mr. Yarborough‘s surviving family includes his siblings, Austin Algin Yarborough (Eleanor), of Wilmington, North Carolina, Ella Yarborough Christmas (Lamar), of Fayetteville, North Carolina, LeGrande Yarborough (Vivian), of Friendfield, South Carolina, and Mary Ann Pegg, of Fayetteville, North Carolina; nine nieces; and three nephews. Visitation for Mr. Yarborough will be held from noon until one o‘clock p.m., Friday, January 14th, 2011 in the funeral home. Graveside services for Mr. Yarborough will be held at two o‘clock p.m., Friday, January 14th, 2011 in the Florence National Cemetery. Brockington Funeral Home, Lake City, is in charge.
