Kayem FOods Inc. has recalled the ready-to-eat products due to the possibility that they may be contaminated with pieces of plastic.

The sausages are sealed in 11-ounce vacuum-packed packages. They were marketed as “all natural al fresco chicken sausage sweet apple with Vermont made syrup.”

The food was sold to retailers nationwide. Consumers who have purchased the products are urged to refrain from eating. They should be thrown out or returned to the place of purchase.
