Maynard, Patricia

Mrs. Patricia Lee Daniel Maynard, 69, finished her course in faith on Saturday, January 8, 2011 while a patient at Morrison Manor. Born August 2, 1941 in Robeson County, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Alma Lee Daniel. She was a graduate of Maxton High School and worked at Lee L. Woodard in accounts payable and Campbell Soup, but most rewarding was her position at the First Presbyterian Church They camped and looked forward to trips to the mountains and the beach. The teamed to manually build their own house and enjoyed landscaping the yard”. She is survived by two daughters, Samantha M. Batten and husband, David of Maxton and Elizabeth M. Locklear and husband, Terry of Lumberton; two sisters, Constance Amelia Wilkerson of Raleigh and Sara Elizabeth Richardson of Oak Island; four grandchildren, Bryan Grammer, Amelia Lee Batten and Matthew Edison Batten of Maxton and Adam Stephen Grammer of Pembroke; three great grandchildren, James Willie Grammer, Malivia Bell Grammer and Jordan Bledsole; several special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband William Harold “Buck” Maynard with whom they “rode horses and fished together. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Robert Dendy. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
