The EPA Places 139 Employees On Administrative Leave

The Environmental Protection Agency has placed 139 employees on leave with plans to investigate them.
The move comes after they each signed a public letter expressing concern regarding the treatment of federal employees and the Trump administration’s regulations on climate and public health.
The letter titled a ‘Declaration of Dissent’ outlined several key concerns including, undermining public trust, ignoring scientific consensus to benefit polluters, reversing the EPA’s progress in America’s most vulnerable communities and more.
It accuses the Trump administration of undermining the EPA’s mission. The staffers were placed on administrative leave after using their official titles and agency positions.
A spokesperson said the agency has a “zero-tolerance policy for career bureaucrats unlawfully sabotaging and undercutting the administration’s agenda as voted for by the great people of this country last November.”
