Stevens, Charles Michael

Charles Michael Stevens of Laurinburg passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the age of 64. Charles was born December 6, 1944 in Scotland County, son of the late Carl Stevens, Jr. and Mary Kate Paul Stevens. He worked as the shipping manager for Butler Manufacturing retiring after many years of dedicated service. He was a longtime and faithful member of the Living Water Church of God and enjoyed serving as an usher. He loved to garden, playing golf and was a big UNC Fan. Charles was a devoted family man that loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his daughters, Angela Carroll and husband Chester of Laurinburg, Michelle Marcum and husband Rodney of McColl, SC; brothers, Larry Stevens and wife Almenia of Aberdeen, Johnny Stevens and wife Judy of Laurinburg, Don Stevens and wife Peggy of Lynchburg, VA; four grandchildren, Ashton Carroll, Crystal Odom and husband Jody, Hannah Marcum, Lauren Marcum and great granddaughter, Gracie Odom and special friend Sherry McCoy Stevens of Laurinburg. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at the Living Water Church of God. The family request that memorials be made in memory of Mr. Stevens to the Living Water Church of God, 13200 Blue Farm Road, Laurinburg, NC 28352. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the Living Water Church of God officiated by Rev. Steve Adams. A private interment will be held at a later date.
