Suspect Arrested In Connection To Little River Party Boat Shooting
19-year-old Shawon Williams is expected to be charged with multiple counts of attempted murder and more.
A suspect has been arrested in connection to the shooting that unfolded in Horry County over Memorial Day weekend.
On Sunday, 120 people and four crew members were attending a charter boat party in the Little River area.
A disturbance broke out aboard the boat dubbed ‘Hurricane II.’
Shots were not fired until the boat docked in the area of Watson Avenue around 9pm.
Eleven people were injured including 10 suffering gunshot wounds, and one injury non-gunshot related.
An investigation led to the arrest of 19-year-old Shawon Williams who was taken into custody in Illinois. He is expected to be charged with multiple counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Other individuals could be charged as the investigation continues.
