Woman Arrested After Man Found Deceased In Closet

53-year-old Joyanna Vansant has been arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

One woman has been arrested in connection to a homicide investigation.

On Friday, Horry County authorities responded to a home in the Burgess area on Dinger Court to conduct a welfare check.

The door was answered by an individual covered in blood, who no longer lives at the residence.

A protective sweep of the property led to the discovery of a deceased person in a closet. Evidence of a shooting was also found.

The victim was identified as 60-year-old Frederick Vansant Jr.. 53-year-old Joyanna Vansant has been arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
