Most Popular Mother’s Day Activities This Year

If you’re still looking for a gift for mom on Sunday, this might help. Google Trends data was used to come up with a list of the top Mother’s Day “things to do” this year.

It’s based on the search terms with the highest traffic spikes leading up to Mother’s Day. Here’s the top five… pottery classes…cooking classes…brunch…pottery painting and broadway shows. One more interesting one…perfume-making classes were also listed. According to Google’s list, many people use Mother’s Day as an excuse to indulge their creative sides. The National Retail Federation says consumer spending on the holiday is expected to reach $34.1 billion this year, which is up a notch from $33.5 billion last year, but down a bit from the record of $35.7 billion in 2023.
