Pedestrian Dies After Vehicle Backs Up And Crashes Into A Building

A Nissan Rogue was backing up on private property near Cedar Branch when it struck a pedestrian and then a building.

A single-vehicle accident unfolded in the Loris area claiming the life of one person.

Around 10pm Wednesday, a Nissan Rogue was backing up on private property near Cedar Branch when it struck a pedestrian and then a building.

The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle and was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries. The pedestrian was also taken to a hospital where they later died.

Further details were not immediately available and the crash is still under investigation.
