Johnson, Clarence

Mr. Johnson died Monday, December 27, 2010. Born in Ravenna, OH, he was a son of the late Charles Antero and Della Pearl Johnson. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and served in the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and was a survivor of Pearl Harbor. Surviving are his wife, Bessie Elizabeth Norris Johnson of Hartsville, SC; sons and daughter-in-law, Jan Lee Johnson of Charlotte, NC, Charles Anthony (Bethany Storlazzi) Johnson of Columbia, SC; daughters and son-in-law, Sara Sue Johnson Bargo of Reedsville, PA, Shirley Ann Johnson (Wayne) Horsley of Pfafftown, NC; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Clarence Merle Johnson, 91, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2010 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. The Rev. Valerie Mireb will officiate with burial in the church cemetery directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
