Dangerous Weather Across Multiple States Leaves At 39 Dead

More than 50 vehicles were involved in a pileup when a dust storm caused zero visibility on I-70 in Sherman County, Kansas.

Dangerous weather across multiple states over the weekend left behind damage and resulted in the death of at least 39 people.

The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management reported over 400 homes that were damaged as wildfires swept across the state Friday. The department also confirmed four fatalities related to the fires or high winds.

In Mississippi, six people died and over 200 were displaced after tornadoes ravaged across three counties and many people were stranded by flood waters.

Dust storms also killed at least three people in connection to car accidents in the Texas Panhandle.

Across Missouri and Arkansas, around 13 storm related deaths were reported.

Three deaths were confirmed in Alabama with the state suffering damage in 52 of its 67 counties.
