A hit-and-run incident in Florence County claimed the life of one woman.
The accident happened around 2:20am Tuesday on E. Old Marion Highway near the intersection with N. Price Road.
An unidentified vehicle was heading west on E. Old Marion when it struck the woman who was on the edge of the road.
The vehicle fled the area without stopping. The woman was pronounced dead on the scene. Her identity has not been publicly revealed. An investigation is underway.
