Steph Curry has made NBA history after breaking a record.
Thursday, the Golden State Warriors point guard became the first NBA player to reach 4,000 career 3-pointers. The milestone came as the Warriors faced off against the Sacramento Kings.
Curry was only two 3-pointers away from the 4,000 mark when the game began. The shot that took him to the goal was a 28-foot 3-pointer at the 8:19 mark in the third quarter. It helped lead the Warriors to a 130-104 victory over the Kings.
Curry previously passed Ray Allen’s record of 2,973 career 3-pointers in December of 2021. He said he never even thought 4,000 was “realistic.”
The achievement came just before his birthday which is Friday as he turned 37.
