MRS. JACQUELINE (JACKIE) SMITH GODBOLT, passed away, December 25, 2010, with family by her side at the McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC. Jacqueline Smith Godbolt, was born May 10, 1946 to the late Jack and Edith Smith, in Conway, SC. She attended Horry County public schools, and graduated from Whittemore High School class of 1963. After high school Jackie moved to Brooklyn, NY, where she received her cosmetology license. In 1972, Jackie returned to Conway, SC, and was employed with Aberdeen Manufacturing as a piece good manager. On March 5, 1975 Jackie dedicated her life as one of Jehovah‘s Witnesses and she served faithfully as a regular pioneer for 24 years, even during her illness, and up until her death. In 1980 Jackie met the love of her life, Wallie Godbolt Sr. On January 10, 1981 they were united as husband and wife. They lived in Florence, SC for 29 years. Jackie had many hobbies that included bowling, fishing, and was a very talented seamstress. She leaves to cherish her precious memories; her husband, Wallie Godbolt, Sr; two sons, Wallie (Lucinda) Godbolt, Jr. of Columbia, SC, and Gregory Mark Godbolt of Charlotte, NC; her siblings, Connie (Robert) Knox, Mack Smith, and Melanie Smith, all of Conway, SC; a sister-in-law Ernestine (Charles) Holden; special friends, Rita (Abraham) Bullock, Bessie Phillip, Barbara (Porter) Boyce, Tondrea Gaddy and John (Virginia) Spann; her spiritual daughter, Juanita (Wyatte) Graham; two nephews, five nieces, and a host of relatives and friends. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Ronnie Anthony Smith, Sr. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Worldwide work of Jehovah‘s Witnesses, 1434 Williston Road, Florence SC, 29506.
