SUMMERVILLE: Mrs. Emma Parker Pollack, 88, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010 in her home after a long illness. Mrs. Pollack was born in Holly Hill, South Carolina on December 7th, 1922. She was a daughter of the late Lawrence LeGrande Parker and the late Blanche Dixon Parker, and was a widow of the late William A. Pollack. Mrs. Pollack was a long-time member of Lake City Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Pollack‘s surviving family includes her son, William J. Pollack; her two daughters, Cynthia P. Wilson (Scott), and Susan P. Hardin, all of Summerville; her four grandchildren, Robert W. “Whit” Greer (Jeannette), of Knoxville, Tennessee, Katherine G. Cauthen, of Charleston, David W. Hardin (Carlie), and Caroline H. Lindler (Chad), both of Chapin; her great-grandchildren, Emma Cauthen and Capers Cauthen, both of Charleston, and Rowan Hardin and Levi Hardin, both of Chapin; and her son-in-law, Billy Hardin, of Chapin. Visitation for Mrs. Pollack will be held from eleven o‘clock a.m. until noon, Monday, December 27th, 2010 in the funeral home. Graveside services for Mrs. Pollack will be held at one o‘clock p.m., Monday, December 27th, 2010 in the Florence National Cemetery. Brockington Funeral Home, Lake City, is in charge.
