Lumberton Walmart Shooting Suspect Extradited To North Carolina
17-year-old Ezekiel Burden faces charges including first-degree murder, discharging a firearm within an enclosure to incite fear and more.
A teen accused in the fatal Lumberton Walmart shooting has been extradited to North Carolina.
The incident took place on December 20 when 17-year-old Ezekiel Burden opened fire in the Woodforest Bank Branch inside the Walmart. He was reportedly targeting two people he knew would be inside.
42-year-old Brandy Olson was standing in line and died after suffering multiple gunshot wounds.
Burden was arrested on Tuesday in Chicago. He has since been extradited and made his first court appearance in Robeson County Wednesday.
He is being held without bond and faces charges including first-degree murder, discharging a firearm within an enclosure to incite fear and more.
Another suspect identified as 18-year-old Brian Campbell turned himself into authorities three days after the shooting. He was charged with being an accessory after the fact and is being held on a $1 million bond.
