DOJ Fires Several Prosecutors Who Worked On Trump’s Criminal Cases
Acting Attorney General James McHenry terminated the DOJ officials who played significant roles in prosecuting Trump.
Justice Department officials have dismissed several prosecutors who worked on President Trump’s criminal cases.
At least a dozen prosecutors who worked both on Trump’s election interference case and classified documents case, have been fired effective immediately.
Acting Attorney General James McHenry terminated the DOJ officials who played significant roles in prosecuting Trump.
“In light of their actions, the acting attorney general does not trust these officials to assist in faithfully implementing the president’s agenda. This action is consistent with the mission of ending the weaponization of government,” McHenry said.
Both cases were dismissed without prejudice shortly after Trump won the presidential election.
