Barber, Jane

Jane Touchberry Barber age 55, died Sunday, December 12, 2010. Born August 21, 1955 in Darlington County, she was the daughter of the late M.L. “Roy” and Doris Strickland Touchberry. Jane was a member of Swift Creek Baptist Church and retired from the Department of Social Services. She will be remembered as a beloved mother, wife, and grandmother. Surviving are her husband of 36 years, David L. Barber, Sr.; two sons: David L. (Leigh Anne) Barber, Jr., of Charlotte, Charles D (Lani) Barber, of Lexington; a granddaughter: Addison Barber of Lexington; mother-in-law: Ila L. Barber of Darlington. The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 15, in Swift Creek Baptist Church with interment following in Grove Hill Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home.
