Police Identify 7-Year-Old Victim Of Fatal Shooting In Robeson County

Quazariya Williams was shot and treated on the scene before being airlifted to a hospital where the child later died. 

Maxton police have identified the 7-year-old girl who was shot and killed in Robeson County.

The shooting occurred around 2pm Sunday along East Graham Street in Maxton.

31-year-old Dedric Page is accused of firing several shots into a car occupied by five people including the girl and her mother.

Quazariya Williams was shot and treated on the scene before being airlifted to a hospital where the child later died.

Page is the child’s father and police believe the mother was the intended target of the shooting. Police learned the two were in a dispute.

Page reportedly fled the scene but was later arrested and charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder and several other charges.

The suspect was out on bond on a weapons charge at the time of the incident.
