Ballot Boxes Burned In Washington And Oregon

An official count of destroyed ballots has not been revealed at this time but evidence shows the two fires could be connected.

Hundreds of mail-in votes were possibly damaged after ballot boxes were burned in Washington and Oregon Monday.

Portland police responded to reports of a fire around 3:30am. The fire was put out and officers soon found an “incendiary device” that revealed the crime was an act of arson.

Around 4am, police in Vancouver responded to a fire at a ballot box. They found smoke and a “suspicious object” next to it.

The FBI is now investigating the incidents that appear to be “targeted and intentional.”

It is unclear whether the acts will be investigated as a domestic terror incident.
