Graham, Ethel Sampson Collins

Mrs. Ethel Sampson Collins Graham took flight 8:45 a.m. and at the age of 86, she departed this life on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at her residence. “Nana”, as she was affectionately called, was born to Henry and Louise Williams Sampson on January 12, 1924 in Florence County. “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4 KJV Ethel moved to New York City at an early age and worked for the United Christian Evangelistic Association for 40 plus years. While in New York, she was a member of Mount Nebo Baptist Church. She was united in holy matrimony to Robert Graham and to this union three children were born. After relocating back to Florence, she rejoined Spring Branch Baptist Church in 1997 where she was a member of the Missionary Society. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert “Bubba” Graham in March 2008; and two sisters, Lethia Collins Timmons and Bertha White. Left to cherish her memories are: two daughters, Jessie Smalls of the home; Bertha (Wesley) Grant of Florence, SC; an adoptive daughter, Margaret Bridges of Florence, SC; grandchildren, Ethel Marie, David, Sharon, Deborah, Ethel and Kayron; great grands, Davon, Kimberly, Ashley, Rachel, Montego, Glenda, Thomas, Marqueis, Miracal, Joel and Anthony; great great grands, Keandre, Emoni, Aaron and Jamaree; sister, Jannie Hubbard of New Jersey; daughter-in-law, Pearlie Graham of Florence, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relat
