Neelon, Constance
Constance Cole Neelon, passed Tuesday December 7, 2010 at St. Joseph of The Pines Nursing Center in Southern Pines. Mrs. Neelon was born July 19, 1914 in Wayland, Massachusetts, to the late Charles Rowland Cole and Isabel Mahony Cole. Mrs. Neelon previously resided in Sudbury, Massachusetts, Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Hilton Head, Southern Carolina. She loved her family, visits by her grandson and wife and great grandchildren. Family provided Connie with memories to cherish for a lifetime. Mrs. Neelon retired as owner and operator of the Duke Motor Lodge in Durham, NC and previously worked at Cronin‘s Department Store in Waltham, Massachusetts. She was an accomplished artist, musician, and writer and a lover of books. Mrs. Neelon is survived by her son, Jeff Neelon and wife E.A.. Grandson, Josh Neelon and wife Laura. And granddaughters, Lucy Neelon and Alice Neelon. Mrs. Neelon was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Neelon. Grandson, Charles Zachary Neelon. Brother, Charles Rowland Cole, Jr. Sister, Harriet Cole Veno Memorial donations can be made in memory of Constance Neelon to the Wayland Free Public Library, at 5 Concord Road, Wayland Mass. 01778-1901 or a library of your choice. A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, December 9, 2010 on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina at the Oak Grove Cemetery in the Sea Pines Plantation.
