Clickner, Philip
Philip D. Clickner, 62, died Sunday, November 21, 2010 at the VA Medical Center, Charlestown, SC.
Born on July 19, 1948 in Ogdensburg, NY, he was the son of Constance Pacquin Clickner and the late Clifford Clickner. Mr. Clickner was the owner of Clickner Mattress Co., in Ogdensburg, NY for many years and served in the U.S. Navy on the USS America during the Vietnam War. He and his family moved to Little River, SC in 1994, where he opened Just Golf on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Phil was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed boating on the St. Lawrence River in NY and on the Intercoastal Waterway in SC.
Mr. Clickner is survived by his wife of 40 years, Deborah Perretta Clickner of Little River, SC; two sons, Aaron Clickner of Charleston, SC, Daniel Clickner of Little River, SC; one daughter, Alissa Clickner Gibson and her husband James of Little River, SC; two sisters, Suzanne Smith and her husband Timothy of Heber Springs, AR, Diane Hughes of Tracy, CA; two special and cherished grandchildren, Dylan and Madison Gibson and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, December 11, 2010 in Lee Funeral Home Chapel.
