Maurer, Rose Klingenschmidt

Rose Klingenschmidt Maurer, age 57, of Aberdeen, passed away peacefully Thursday, 11-25-2010 at her home after a sixteen month battle with cancer. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00PM Sunday, November 28, at Manly Presbyterian Church by Dr. William W. Rolland. Burial will follow at Bethesda Cemetery. Rose was born on May 15th, 1953, in Moore County, NC. Rose has been an active member of Manly Presbyterian Church: she has been a youth group advisor, Bible School director and teacher, Choir member, Sunday school teacher, officer in the women of the Church, a church Elder and a clerk of the Session. She worked for CP&L (Progress Energy) for almost 25 years. She later worked for the NC Department of Transportation for 11 years. Rose was a very caring, loving and giving person. She opened her home and her heart to numerous people. She always found the best in everyone she met. She has richly blessed the lives of her family and friends and will be truly missed. She is survived by her husband, Artie Maurer, sons, Robert Allen Maurer and his wife Erin of Pinebluff, Daniel Adam Maurer and his wife Trinity of Aberdeen, her father, Edgar Lewis Klingenschmidt of Southern Pines, mother-in-law, Sadie Maurer of Aberdeen, brothers, Stanley Klingenschmidt of Pinehurst, Danny Klingenschmidt of Southern Pines, sisters, Linda Burch of Chapel Hill, Lea Klingenschmidt of West End, Anna Newton of Johnsonville, grandchildren, Olivia Lynn Maurer, Nathan Cole Maurer, Caitlin Aubrey Maurer, and Ayden William Maurer, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Boles Funeral Home of Southern Pines from 6-8 PM, Saturday, November 27, 2010.
