TODAY: Keep Pounding 5K Stadium Run Registration Kick-Off Party
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Keep Pounding 5K Stadium Run Kick-Off Registration Party will be held Thursday at 12:30pm.
Patients and staff from the Levine Cancer Institute and Sir Purr are teaming up to kick-off registration for the 6th Annual Keep Pounding 5K Stadium Run benefiting cancer programs at Levine Cancer Institute and Levine Children’s Hospital.
The kick-off event will be held on the 3rd floor conference center at Levine Cancer Institute. Â The event is open to the public.
The Keep Pounding 5K Stadium Run will be held on May 14th. Â Registration is $30 and each runner is encouraged to raise $51, a number that commemorates the late Panthers’ player Sam Mills. Â Mills, who lost his battle with cancer, coined the phrase “Keep pounding” in an inspirational speech to his teammates.
