Richard Joseph Casey, 63, of Pinehurst passed Tuesday November 9, 2010 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. Mr. Casey was born December 4, 1946 in Fresno, CA to John “Jack” W. Casey and Elizabeth Telesco Casey. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday 1PM November 13, 2010 at St. Anthony‘s of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Southern Pines, NC with the Rev. Monsignor Jeffrey Ingham officiating. A reception celebrating Mr. Casey‘s life will follow at The Sly Fox in Southern Pines, NC. A United States Navy veteran, Mr. Casey loved life and his country. He believed that entrepreneurship and innovation were the very foundation upon which America was built. Mr. Casey was a generous and inclusive person who welcomed you into his home and heart with the greatest of warmth and affection. To meet Mr. Casey was to meet a good man and to make a great friend. Mr. Casey is survived by his wife Susan Casey. A daughter, Leigh Casey and husband Richard Bin of San Jose, CA; his father, Jack Casey of Pinehurst; grandchildren Andrew Bin and Owen Bin of San Jose, CA Mr. Casey was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Casey.
