Christine Barfield Seals, age 83, of Lumberton, NC died on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was born in Bladen County, NC on May 2, 1927 to the late Robert Tracey Barfield and Alice Hooks Barfield. She previously worked in banking as an associate vice-president. Mrs. Seals is survived by a son, Jerry L. Seals of Lumberton, NC; two daughters, Mary Alice Seals and Glenda Seals Potter both of Raleigh, NC; one sister, Helen Heustess of Western Prong, NC; and five grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton with Rev. David Elks officiating. Visitation will be held at the home, 209 Village Walk East in Lumberton on Monday evening, November 8, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Lumberton, 606 N. Walnut Street, Lumberton, NC 28358.
