New Miss Teen USA Crowned

This comes after previous title holder, UmaSofia Srivastava gave up her crown citing mental health issues.

The new Miss Teen USA was crowned Thursday.

17-year-old Addie Carver of Mississippi now holds the title. She is a dance teacher, cheerleader and choreographer.

Before accepting the tiara, Carver informed judges of her mental health struggles adding her mission is to make sure every little girl, who struggles like her, is never alone.

This comes after previous title holder, UmaSofia Srivastava gave up her crown citing mental health issues.

Miss USA, Noelia Voigt also resigned citing the same reason.

The next pageant, Miss USA, will take place Sunday.
