United And Delta Suspend Flights To Israel Due To Rising Tensions

United and Delta Airlines have canceled flights to Israel amid rising tensions in the Middle East.
United has suspended all service to Tel Aviv until further notice citing “security reasons” for the decision. Typically, the airline offers two flights daily from Newark to Tel Aviv.
Delta will suspend flights to the area as well starting Friday and stated the decision was made due to ongoing conflict in the region. Sales are suspended for the four flights and two round trips that had already been scheduled.
Delta issued travel waivers for those who booked flights to Tel Aviv through September 6. The new tickets must be issued by August 14.
