Drive-By Shooting In Florence Leaves One Person Injured

One of the victims was grazed by a bullet. They were taken to a hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Florence police opened an investigation after one person was injured in an apparent drive-by shooting.

Around 1am Saturday morning, police responded to the 700 block of Dixie Street on reports of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers found four individuals aged 16 to 20-years-old on the porch of a home.

Witnesses informed police a vehicle drove by and fired shots toward the porch.

One of the victims was grazed by a bullet. They were taken to a hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Several vehicles at the home appeared to have been struck by bullets as well.

The vehicle used in the drive-by was reported stolen and later found crashed in an area nearby and appeared tampered with.
