Man Arrested After Head-On Collision Leaves One Dead And Several Injured

46-year-old Mikkhail Coleman was the driver of the vehicle traveling the wrong way which prompted the crash.

We now have an update and correction of a story we reported Monday.

Shortly before midnight on Friday, a 2003 GMC SUV was struck head-on by a 2015 GMC SUV that was traveling south in the northbound lane. The incident took place along Highway 9 near Foxtail Drive in Horry County. The victim’s vehicle then hit a 2012 Nissan Sedan that was also traveling south.

68-year-old Gary Rogers was the driver of the 2003 GMC, which was struck first, he died from the injuries he sustained in the crash.

We initially reported four others were injured. However, it was revealed that eight others were hurt, but their conditions are unknown.

46-year-old Mikkhail Coleman was the driver of the vehicle traveling the wrong way which prompted the crash. He was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated resulting in death.
