Groundbreaking Ceremony Held For Performing Arts Theater In Myrtle Beach
Crews will combine three historic Main Street buildings into a 300-seat venue.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held Monday for a new amenity in Myrtle Beach.
Crews broke ground on the long-awaited Performing Arts Theater in the Arts and Innovation District. It will be located at 811 Main Street.
The city of Myrtle Beach and Coastal Carolina University have spent years planning this project and are finally bringing it to fruition. It is expected to cost $22 million.

CCU students will use the space 150 days out of the year for education and performances.
The theater is expected to open next summer.
