Crews To Soon Begin Installing New Waterline In Myrtle Beach

Road closures can be expected but will be announced closer to when construction is set to begin.

Crews in Myrtle Beach will soon begin installing a new waterline in the city.

Installation is set to start in September at the “Mama Canal” located near Broadway Grand Prix.

The new line will replace a nearly 40-year-old waterline.

Most of the work will begin at the corner of 29th Avenue N. and Old Bryan Drive.

The line will run along Old Bryan Drive to 33rd Avenue N. and end at Highway 17.

It will be placed to ensure the growing communities always have a steady supply of drinking water.

This will mark the first phase of a four-phase project and is expected to take six months to complete.

Road closures can be expected but will be announced closer to when construction is set to begin.
