Trump Names Vice Presidential Pick During Day 1 Of RNC

Donald Trump named Ohio Sen. JD Vance as his vice presidential pick.

The first day of the Republican National Convention took place in Milwaukee Monday.

Donald Trump named Ohio Sen. JD Vance as his vice presidential pick.

The pair was formally appointed as the GOP Nominee for this year’s presidential election.

Vance has adopted Trump’s agenda after years of criticizing his motives. He addressed the criticism saying yes he was skeptical of Trump in 2016, but he “turned out to be a great president and changed my mind.”

Day one of the convention marked Donald Trump’s first public appearance since he was nearly assassinated. He showed up with his ear bandaged and was greeted with a roaring crowd chanting “fight.” The chant was reference to the word Trump mouthed after the shooting.
