James Elliot Lamb
HANNAH: Mr. James Elliot Lamb, 59, passed away peacefully Monday, October 25th, 2010 in McLeod Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Lamb was born in Columbia on September 17th, 1951. He was a son of Bertie Ruth Allen Lamb and the late Marvin James Lamb. Mr. Lamb was a long-time employee of Welman, Inc. where he worked as a fabricator. He loved being outdoors, especially fishing. He was a loving and dedicated son, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Mr. Lamb‘s surviving family includes his mother, Ruth Lamb, of the home; his daughter, Valerie Barfield (Mike), of Florence; his granddaughter, Ansley Barfield, of Florence; his two sisters, Ann Moore (Ronnie), of Pamplico and Teresa Weaver (Dennis), of Florence; six nieces and nephews; seven great-nieces and –nephews; and his special friend, Carla Conyers. Mr. Lamb is preceded in death by his brother, Randy Lamb. Funeral services for Mr. Lamb will be held at two o‘clock p.m., Wednesday, October 27th, 2010 in the Lake City Church of God. Burial will follow in the Lake City Memorial Park. Brockington Funeral Home, Lake City, is in charge.
