The vote could impact Trump’s conviction in his hush money trial. His lawyers are now working to have his conviction thrown out. The defense argues the jury reviewed evidence that should have been protected by presidential immunity.
The defense sought additional time to make their arguments, which could delay Trump’s sentencing that was scheduled for July 11.
